Most of the time folks see London during the day, in between museums and tourist attractions. But if you stay out late enough (past the point when all the pubs close), you may see a totally different side of this beautiful city.
I’ve always been impressed with the transportation system in London. Your oyster card can get you on the bus, the train, the underground, just about anywhere. But it can’t get you on a bike. Sometimes, nothing can get you on a bike.
It was complete luck that we happened to be right in front of Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Coronation Day.
So, I can’t promise that we actually find the best fish and chips, but we made a valiant effort. One that involved lots of beer and a blatant disregard for the classic American pastime of taking pictures of one’s food.
A walk along the Thames riverfront revealed a part of London’s history I knew nothing about.
