Good grief, is this place abandoned?
Tokyo is a massive consumer of seafood. Only a few tourists every day have the opportunity to see the tuna auctions, and I was determined to be one of them.
This post does feature fish parts as a central theme, so if you’re squeamish, vegan, or otherwise opposed to seeing said fish parts, maybe it’s best if you wait for the next post.
A side trip to Nara resulted in some happily fed deer, and getting smoked out by a giant Buddha.
I’ve always been impressed with the transportation system in London. Your oyster card can get you on the bus, the train, the underground, just about anywhere. But it can’t get you on a bike. Sometimes, nothing can get you on a bike.
So, I can’t promise that we actually find the best fish and chips, but we made a valiant effort. One that involved lots of beer and a blatant disregard for the classic American pastime of taking pictures of one’s food.
